Edward Tufte, a pioneer in the field of data visualization, will offer his one-day course on information design to students for only $50 as part of Tech@NYU Startup Week. The course normally costs $380 for non-students and $200 for students. As part of the course, students receive all of Tufte's four books. Tufte has been called "The Leonardo da Vinci of data" by the New York Times, while Wiredsays his course is "One visionary day....the insights of this class lead to new levels of understanding both for creators and viewers of visual displays."
